Mounts of Soria
A NATURAL TREASURE OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE VILLA AND LAND SORIA HERITAGE
From the 12th century, soria was recognised as City Community to favor its repopulation as well as the one of the villages on its territory, giving the new inhabitants the ownership of lands and others to be used on a community way. At the end of the 19th century it became the Mancomunity of the 150 until our days.
Its heritage is consists on 30000ha divided into 13 forests of Public Use, many of them correspond to the forest area. Inside the municipality of Soria we can find: Monte Berrún, Monte Pinar Grande, Monte Calar y Cubillos y Monte Vega Amblau- Sobaquillo
This mounts are formed by forestry areas of pines, beech, oaks, and other ecosystems. The most representative places are the “Black Lake” (Laguna Negra), Santa Inés Ski point or Cuerda del Pozo dam,
Using this spaces with wood works and fishing, meadows rent, and agriculture, mycology eolic energy and of course, Tourism.
